I’ll be at this year’s Fall Festival in Frankfort, Michigan!
Frankfort, Michigan is such a fun spot to visit in the fall, especially during the annual Fall Festival. The whole downtown comes alive with live music, kids’ activities, local vendors, and plenty of food—it really feels like the heart of the season. Beyond the festival, the trees around town are at their peak with gorgeous reds and yellows. You can pop into the local shops and restaurants, then head over to Point Betsie Lighthouse for some stunning fall photos. Between the festival and the small-town charm, Frankfort is the perfect place to soak up autumn in northern Michigan.
I’ll have signed spooky books on hand at the festival and would love to chat with you about all things eerie, ghostly, and mysterious. Even more exciting—my newest release, She Writes in Red, is set in Frankfort. In the story, Celeste unravels the secrets of a haunted house tucked into this very lakeside town… so as you wander the festival, you’ll be walking the same streets that sparked the book’s chilling inspiration.

And of course, the festival itself is packed with autumn fun. The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. downtown, followed by giant pumpkins, a bustling craft fair, kids’ games, competitive cornhole battles, and plenty of local beer, wine, and live music.
It’s the perfect way to soak up fall colors, small-town charm, and just the right touch of spooky.
