About Castle Farms

Built in 1918 by Sears executive Albert Loeb as a model dairy farm, the property featured stone barns and prize-winning livestock, even a baseball team. In 1962 it became Castle VanHaver, open to the public with tours, a cafe, and an art gallery. By 1969, under new owners, it hosted concerts through the 1970s and ’80s, drawing acts like Tina Turner and Aerosmith. Restored in the early 2000s, it now serves as a wedding and event venue, its walls quietly holding the echoes of more than a century of work, music, and life.
